Our Goals
ABC’s Project 1825 collaborates with local law enforcement agencies, Indiana University, local businesses, doctor's offices and schools to effectively limit alcohol access to youth under the legal drinking age. In addition, we strive to communicate a clear message to the community that underage and binge drinking is inappropriate and unacceptable.
Our goals are to effect Retail and Social Availability of Alcohol to Youth, along with our community's General Beliefs About Alcohol Use and Abuse
The Community Mobilization for Change on Alcohol (CMCA) is the evidence-based program we have selected from SAMSHA’s (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) model programs.
In addition to the CMCA, Project 1825 is:
- Collaborating with Indiana Excise Police
- Implementing "Not In Our House" - a community wide media campaign
- Partnering with Southern Indiana Pediatrics
